A healthy lifestyle and nutrition education initiative led by Armenian-American university students, empowering middle schoolers in Armenia to make healthier choices.

Why a nutrition education program?

Noncommunicable diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension account for 90% of deaths in Armenia . . .

Many of these diseases can be prevented or mitigated through healthy lifestyle habits, especially when adopted early in life

Making Change in Two Waves

Spring Session

After-school nutrition and healthy lifestyle program for middle schoolers with educational competitions and games to promote engagement and retention

Summer Session

Summer day camp with nutrition-based field trips and once-in-a-lifetime experiences to ensure learnings stay with our students forever

Interested in interning or volunteering with us?

We are looking for:

  • Undergraduate or graduate students

  • Fluent in Eastern Armenian

  • Passionate about public health

  • Experienced in working with youth

  • Committed to joining us in Armenia from March 16–20, 2026 to help run the spring session of the Healthy Heroes Challenge

AND/OR

  • Committed to joining us in Armenia for our summer camp (dates to be announced)

We offer:

  • Partial coverage of travel costs

  • Full coverage of lodging and meals in Armenia
